On Running
OFF Magazine
Editor-in-Chief + Creative Direction
Turning a performance brand into a storytelling platform.
As Editor-in-Chief for OFF Issue 01 and 02, I took the project from “What if?” to “Here ‘tis.” I built the foundation—establishing and training a global team, setting editorial infrastructure, and sourcing contributors from around the world.
A bona fide, features-led print magazine, OFF is On Running’s chance to go story first. To imagine what a world built on On’s values—of movement, design, and sustainability—might look like.
Created and published by On, OFF isn’t a brand brochure. It’s a bi-annual deep dive into the stories that live at the intersections: between running and design, between nature and technology, between who we are and how we move.
Representing diverse voices was core to the mission. Contributors spanned continents and perspectives—from established writers (Vogue, GAY TIMES, Kinfolk, BBC, The New York Times) to emerging journalists supported by the NCTJ Journalism Diversity Fund.
I started out in publishing (Little, Brown and Company), so OFF felt like a full-circle moment—a return to long-form storytelling, anchored in craft and curiosity, but with the creative ambition of a global brand.
